MAMMOPEXY
The candidates for this surgery are women who are generally satisfied with the size of their breasts, but these are flaccid or "fallen" or are dissatisfied with the fact that the nipples are pointing down.
This may be caused by loss of skin elasticity, by weight changes, pregnancy, lactation, aging and effects of gravity.
Some women prefer to have this surgery before having children, to show off their new breasts during their adult life, and treat any change in the future.
This surgery does not affect at any level the breastfeeding, as milk ducts are left intact.
The goal of this surgery is to elevate and reshape the fallen breasts, removing excess skin and repositioning the nipples. The lifting of the breasts will restore a more youthful and sensual appearance.
In some women one breast develops more than another, in which case you can insert a silicone implant to match the size of the breasts, while lifting them, leading them to their normal position.
The incisions to perform this surgery vary according to the shape of the breasts and the desired result. The used technique can be discussed in consultation with Dr. Manuel Javier Rincon, according to the needs.
The surgery takes about 2 hours and can be performed with regional or general anesthesia, according to each case. The recovery time is short; you can return to work after 10 days and resume physical activities after 30 days. The scars are minimal.
