PASSIVE GYMNASTICS                          

Electrostimulation is the application of electrical currents, simulating the electrical impulse sent by the nervous system to the muscle in order for it to perform the contraction. This stimulation is done by applying electrodes or plates over the surface of the muscle by placing the motor trigger in order to ensure that the muscle contracts.

  • Rehabilitation of neuromuscular coordination

CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Patients with pacemakers
  • Patients with heart disease, unless it is sent by medical order.
  • Patients with epilepsy, unless it is applied under medical supervision.
  • After a major surgery intervention.
  • Over varicose veins
  • It must not be applied on specialized tissues: testes, ovaries, heart
  • During menstruation or around it
  • It shouldn’t be used over forming cartilage in children or young in developing age.
  • Pacemakers / Thrombophlebitis
  • Coagulopathies and hemorrhages, not in heparinised patients
  • Eyes, ears, intrauterine device.
