EYEBROW LIFTING

This procedure can be directed solely to the eyebrows to lift them, with simple techniques just in this area, using suture or Russian threads or it can go further, using a traditional technique where an incision is made
behind the line of hair implantation, or through endoscopy which allows smaller incisions.

With these last two options not only can the eyebrows position be changed, but also the wrinkles and folds that form on the forehead and between eyebrows can be eliminated.

The most frequently found changes in this area, either by aging (loss of elasticity and tone of the tissues) or genetic predisposition are:

  • The drop in the eyebrow outer portion or tail.
  • The heavy eyelid over the eye, by excess skin, muscle and / or fatty tissue.
  • The prominence of the pockets of fatty tissue in the upper and/or inferior eyelids.
  • Lateral wrinkles to the eye and eyelids, known as crow's feet
  • The vertical and deep lines that form between the eyebrows
  • The horizontal lines across the forehead
  • The horizontal wrinkles on the nose, below the space between the eyebrows
  • In older patients, fine wrinkles around the face

All this is a consequence of the flabbiness and the repeated action of muscle forces, which over the years, leave marks on the skin and cause the drop of structures that should remain in position.
