EYELID SURGERY (BLEPHAROPLASTY)
This surgery, technically called blepharoplasty, is indicated for people who have fallen upper eyelids and/or bags under the eyes in the lower eyelid, as a result of age, or because of family heritage.
It is also indicated for westernization of race traits of Asian individuals.
This surgery is done with hospital outpatient procedure, takes about an hour and a local anesthetic is used with a mild sedation, which keeps the patient sleepy. The stay at the clinic will last for 4 hours and the recovery takes approximately four days.
The results of this surgery are very positive, since the facial appearance of patient’s changes substantially, though it is not as evident as an obvious plastic surgery.
When removing the skin around the eyes, removing wrinkles, it gives the face a touch of freshness and youth, as eyes become more visible and their expression becomes natural again.
